James Gunn created CREATURE COMMANDOS; before taking over DC
It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project when he became CEO of DC Studios.

This series features fantastic characters and is incredibly creative
I’ve always loved the DC universe, and while I think the DCEU has been overly hated, I’ve been very disappointed with several DCEU projects. I think when James Gunn says superhero movies and TV have become too generic, that’s his point.
But yeah, it was a great start and I can see things getting better from here
There have been so many superhero movies in the past decade that when they see a new one, they don’t go to the theater because they think “there were too many horrors in other superhero movies.” As if they are all the same, just a generic action movie (especially the sequels), I think James Gunn is really going to shake things up and I can’t wait. I also think that because Marvel was so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans), and I think if everything goes right for DC in the next few years, it’s the lesser known characters that will be able to do well at the box office if they manage to grab people’s attention and really make them feel special.
