I AM the danger
It ceases to exist without me. No, you obviously don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me explain. I’m not in danger, Skyler. A guy opens the door and shoots him and you think that about me? No! I’m the one knocking!
The characters are well-developed and entertaining
The opening credits use chemical symbols from the periodic table of elements as part of the names: bromine (Br) and barium (Ba) in the title, none for creator Vince Gilligan (except when he gets a V for vanadium), one for the cast and crew members. Adapted into CollegeHumor Originals: Breaking Bad/Walking Dead Mash-Up (2013). Dead fingers talking while working in a nuclear-free city. One of the greatest shows ever, the pacing is excellent. The show ties everything together very neatly.
Very good storytelling, well done to Vince Gilligan
It’s honestly a show that gets better every time you watch it. It’s downright cathartic to see Walter break down and the way the story unfolds is the best way it could have.

So here it is
The incident with Valya Harkonnen, who used the voice, comes from one called “Mentats of Dune.” All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. References AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020). I wanted to be brief and to the point, but I felt the urge to expand on my thoughts. There was a time when the writers knew how to weave exposition into the narrative without it feeling forced and contrived.
I feel like the show is in good hands
I get that it’s the first episode, but they have to write everything as if it’s not widely known? Watson (Valya), Mark Strong (Emperor), Travis Fimmel (Hart), and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (Princess) all give good performances. The other characters just didn’t interest me anymore. They move the plot along, but they’re forgettable.
They did an amazing job on the visuals
I guess we’ll see how that plays out. I had a hard time focusing on the first episode. It felt like it was part of a whole that couldn’t be separated. I’ll wait until the full season before I consume the rest of the episodes.
The art department should get awards for how beautiful it looks
The CGI is high quality, the costumes are perfect, the tone from Villeneuve’s vision is maintained and expanded upon.

novels for the screen, following his adaptation of Affliction (1997)
Quoted in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 961: In a Violent Nature + TIFF 2024 (2024). With such a stellar cast of actors like Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, and Michael Imperioli, you’d think they’d have the star power to make a better film than this.
Well, you’d be wrong
Paul Schrader goes “experimental” in a film that feels like something a first-year film student would make. Richard Gere’s character becomes increasingly unlikeable and gradually loses the ability to express himself with words as he becomes angry at everyone around him, muttering as he descends into darkness.
In other words become just like Paul Schrader is today
Do yourself a favor and skip this, even on streaming I can’t imagine it would be better if you could pause it and leave the room to do more important things than watch this sad excuse of a movie.
