I’m Isabella Littleford—a dedicated style expert who’s spent years diving deep into where designer taste meets day-to-day life.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the honor of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and working alongside top-tier global designers. That experience taught me to recognize high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that seamlessly blends a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to offer you expert insights with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where did you purchase them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time https://womengoldengoosesneakers.com deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast which was a major plus
How much do they run?
When I ordered my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
Where can I find them on sale?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.
- GGoose.org – my go-to for these kicks!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – apparently, they are offering $50 off your first app order of $150+ using code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an incredible source for new or gently used Golden Goose sneakers at great prices
- Ebay – lots of fantastic steals on gently used pairs
- @likeabandit – she highlights many GG finds on her IG stories, so keep an eye out
