In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic consequences for her marriage and political future. The producers have persuaded the US and British governments to allow them to use real locations to film the series, including most recently the US Embassy (in Nine Elms), opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, which is a rare honour for any film or cinema production, especially an American one.

Although accurately described as occupying the largest parcel of residential land (11 acres) in London other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house on the outskirts of the city for filming. Diplomat has everything you need for a great TV series… it has comedy, drama, great acting and writing, etc.
The series is about a diplomat (Keri Russell) who gets a new job as ambassador to the United Kingdom after an international crisis occurs when an aircraft carrier is attacked

I am definitely looking forward to watching it and seeing where this show goes
She also has to deal with her husband (Rufus Sewell), who is already a political star, and their volatile marriage. I loved this show so much that I devoured all eight episodes in one weekend. It was so successful and well-received that it has already been renewed for another season.
