A grieving therapist starts telling his clients exactly what he thinks
By ignoring his training and ethics, he makes huge changes in people’s lives — including his own. The movie Shrinkage shares the best defining moments of their characters in Season 1 and reveal who has the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on board, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford”-type vehicle; and he auditioned with people like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least bring it up to Ford first, thinking he’d immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was in the project and that other big-name actors would be interested. Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him on the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was excited nonetheless.
Harrison Ford plays Dr
Currently two episodes in, the show is showing off a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious, and at times even weird… uplifting in a way that most shows aren’t, which is reminiscent of the community of these elements of the show itself. I’m not sure if this is exactly how a therapist deals with problems, but it certainly gives Jason Segel room to operate.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor of sorts
I wasn’t sure how his character would work on this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial likeness certainly seems like the type of person Ford would encounter. Not bad, considering the terrifying elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, it fits the show like a glove. Sean (Luke Tennie) plays a bit too much of a sympathetic boy to Jimmy (Segel) as he deals with his own family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)…
And the music in this show is so good
What I see here seems so alive and maybe the possibilities are endless as I see Jimmy deal with these issues. By the way, the theme song to this show is so good that I didn’t even skip it when I watched the second episode… All in all, this is shaping up to be a really great show and I hope it only gets better from here.
