Autumn Best easily has the standout performance in Anna Kendrick’s first directorial outing, but Daniel Zovatto as serial killer Rodney Alcala is also perfectly terrifying. The music and cinematography are impressive and engaging, and the script is well-paced and character-driven.

I see good things ahead for Anna Kendrick’s directing career

I understand that this is LOOSELY based on the true story of Alcala’s crimes, but the writer(s) were a tad creative with the true story (the character “Laura” (played by Nicolette Robinson) never existed, Rodney was the number one bachelor, not the third, etc.) I also wish I had known a little more about him and how he became such a monster. Overall, this was a tense, interesting, and somewhat frustrating look at what has to be one of the strangest serial murder cases of the last 50 years.

Well, the plot is nothing new, but it is still quite watchable. I just didn’t feel the chemistry (on Laura Dern’s part) that would make the story believable.

I didn’t find anything appealing about Katarina’s character

Let’s be honest: for a young and hot person to like someone so old, you would expect that older person to be wise, charming, interesting, etc. Katherine’s character was not like that to me, just a pale, mean, shallow author.

Now I feel bad for him in both relationships

I wonder what would have ignited the spark in Owen, maybe just his vulnerability at the time. I would also have liked to see more depth in Owen’s past relationship.

Katherine’s tantrums were hard to watch 😃

Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction.. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman explore memorable credits, interesting facts, achievements, and trivia tidbits pulled directly from their IMDb name pages.. He then said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in the two characters meeting on the big screen. When asked why he chose to return for this film, he simply said, "I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut", adding that he wanted to have the best possible time ever on a movie set together with Ryan Reynolds.

Likewise, Reynolds wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was saddened when he (Jackman) retired from the role.. It got old

With all the jokes made in previous movies and trailers, this movie showed up with an almost empty tank of gas. The plot was simply dumb and didn’t do much for the Deadpool franchise. Most of the humor was the same formula. After a while it felt like a funny comedian telling the same joke but in a different style over and over and over again.

There were some fun scenes, but for the first time in a Deadpool movie, there were many parts where I simply lost interest and checked my watch. They probably should have taken the wins from the first two Deadpool movies and left it at that–and I would have been 100% ok with it. Not worth the movie ticket, but good enough when it goes digital.. The final season of "What We Do in the Shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
