Line of Events
Two criminal twin brothers, one of whom is trying to reform, embark on a dangerous heist. Facing legal troubles, gunfights, and family drama, they must reconcile their differences before their mission leads to self-destruction. Final film appearance of actor M. Emmet Walsh (Judge Farful). The Brothers had promise and potential.
Really solid cast
Started out strong. The plot was interesting enough. I’m not sure if I should compare the films to generational classics or the rest of the garbage available for streaming in recent years. I feel like Hollywood never recovered from the writers strike and it shows. This film is watchable because of the low level of content available.
They played their roles
Do comedies today cater to the bemusement of the majority of society with a low IQ? If you like vulgar humor, like watching a grown man get masturbated by an orangutan, then you’ll like this film. If you prefer witty and sophisticated humor, you will often roll your eyes. I don’t blame the actors. Dinklage is a true talent.
Brothers Can’t Be Arrested
Brolin shows his range by playing a believable character who isn’t a tough guy with superpowers. Marisa Tomei is great in everything. I wonder why she wasn’t credited. Fraser also took out the shady guard. I’ve never been a fan of Glenn Close, but her heyday was before my era.
You can’t get invested in the unrealistic situation of the characters
It’s slow and devoid of any kind of movie magic that makes you care about the outcome. I’m sure the actors were desperate for a paycheck, but they’re all better than that.
